Short description: 
SEX OFFENDER REGISTRATION-CAR                                              

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the  Sex Offender  Registration  Act.   Requires  the  law      
   enforcement  agency  registering  a sex offender to issue a registered      
   sex offender identification card to the offender.  Provides  that  the      
   sex  offender  must  present  the  identification  card  to an agency,      
   entity, parent, or guardian for whom the sex offender  will  assume  a      
   position  of  trust,  authority,  or supervision with a child under 18      
   years of age.  Provides that  upon  issuance  of  the  card,  the  law      
   enforcement   agency  shall  inform  the  offender  of  the  statutory      
   obligations for displaying the identification card.  Provides  that  a      
   sex  offender  who  violates  this  provision  is  guilty of a Class 3      
   felony.  Effective immediately.

        Amends the Criminal Code of 1961.  Provides that it is a Class  4      
   felony  for a child sex offender to be knowingly present in a place in      
   which programs, services, or lessons are provided to persons under  18      
   years  of  age  and  where  children under 18 years of age are present      
   during which the programs, services, or lessons are provided.
