House Sponsors: SCULLY. Short description: IL HEALTH FIN REFORM-COUNCIL Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Illinois Health Finance Reform Act. Provides that the Illinois Health Care Cost Containment Council shall study and report on the cost of, availability of price information for, and related impacts of prescription drugs. FISCAL NOTE (Department of Public Health) This bill does not impact the Department of Public Health; the Department defers the fiscal impact statement to the Department of Human Services and/or the Illinois Health Care Cost Containment Council. HOME RULE NOTE (Dept. of Commerce and Community Affairs) Does not preempt home rule authority. STATE MANDATES NOTE (Dept. of Commerce and Community Affairs) Does not create a State mandate. FISCAL NOTE (Ill. Health Care Cost Containment Council) The bill's requirements would be significant, and the agency's current level of staff would be unable to sustain the impact of the statute's implementation.
