Senate Sponsors: O'MALLEY Short description: ELDER ABUSE-FINANCL EXPLOITATN Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Elder Abuse and Neglect Act. Provides that "exploitation of an eligible adult's financial resources" includes, but is not limited to, exploitation caused by or resulting from the provision of financial advice, planning or consultation, tax assistance, or other financial services. FISCAL NOTE (Department on Aging) Program costs would increase by more than $1.4 million. CORRECTIONAL NOTE, H-AM 1 (Department of Corrections) No fiscal or prison population impact on DOC. HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1.
