Short description: 
VEH CD-TRAFFIC SIGNS-OWNERSHIP                                             

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends  the  Illinois  Vehicle  Code.   Provides  that  when  the      
   Department of Transportation or a local authority marks traffic signs,      
   signals, and markers that the Department or local authority  owns,  it      
   may  do  so  anywhere on the item (instead of only on the back) and in      
   letters not less than 3/8  inch  in  height  (instead  of  in  letters      
   between 3/8 inch and 3/4 inch in height).  Effective immediately.           
        SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1.                                                
        Further amends the Illinois Vehicle Code to reinstate the pro-         
   vision that when the Department of Transportation or a local authority      
   marks traffic signs, signals, and markers it may do so in letters be-       
   tween 3/8 inch and 3/4 inch in height (instead of not less than 3/8         
   inch in height).
