Short description: 
CHILD SUPPORT-ACCOUNTING                                                   

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code, the  Illinois  Marriage  and      
   Dissolution  of  Marriage  Act, the Non-Support of Spouse and Children      
   Act, and the Illinois Parentage Act of 1984.  Provides that the  court      
   may  order,  if it is in the best interest of the minor child on whose      
   behalf support payments are ordered, the custodial parent  to  provide      
   an  accounting  of  expenditures  of support funds.  Provides that the      
   court may order the custodial parent to produce  verification  of  the      
   expenses  and  may enter any orders necessary to ensure that the funds      
   are expended in the best interest of the child.  Effective January  1,      
   2000.                                                                       
        HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1.                                                 
        Provides that the party moving for  an  accounting  must  certify      
   that,  to the best of the movant's knowledge, information, and belief,      
   the motion for an accounting is well grounded in fact and that  it  is      
   not  brought  for  any improper purpose.  Provides that, if the movant      
   violates this certification, the court may impose a sanction.
