Senate Sponsors: SIEBEN-SULLIVAN Short description: NURSING HOME-UNCLAIMED PROPRTY Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Nursing Home Care Act and the Uniform Disposition of Unclaimed Property Act. Provides that certain property of a deceased resident of a nursing home that is the subject of a contract between the resident and the nursing home for long-term care is enforceable without a court order. Provides that the property is exempt from the provisions of the Uniform Disposition of Unclaimed Property Act. Effective immediately. SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Deletes reference to: 210 ILCS 45/2-202 765 ILCS 1025/10.5 Adds reference to: 765 ILCS 1025/2a Deletes everything. Amends the Uniform Disposition of Unclaimed Property Act. Provides that any property due or owed from a business association to or for the benefit of another business association resulting from a transaction occurring in the normal course of business shall be exempt from the Act.
