Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Higher Education Student Assistance Act  to  change  a      
   caption  to  a  Section concerning notifying the Secretary of State of      
   certain persons who have defaulted on educational loans.                    
        HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1.                                                 
          Deletes reference to:

        Deletes  everything.   Amends  various  Acts  relating   to   the      
   governance  of  the  public  universities  in  Illinois and the Public      
   Community College Act.  Provides that a student who has graduated from      
   high school and  has  scored  within  the  University's  or  community      
   college's  accepted  range  on the ACT or SAT shall not be required to      
   take the high school level General Educational Development (GED)  Test      
   as a prerequisite to admission. Effective immediately.
