Short description: 
SCH CD-ST-BD-ED-OVERCROWDING                                               

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the School Code to require the State Board of Education to      
   produce a report that identifies which public schools  in  this  State      
   are  overcrowded  and  proposes  a 3-year plan and solution to address      
   overcrowding in these schools.  Requires the State Board to report its      
   findings and recommendations to the General Assembly  by  January  31,      
   2000.                                                                       
          FISCAL NOTE (State Board of Education)                               
          Approximately $200,000 to $500,000 would be required.
