Short description: VEH CD-CAR PHONE-HANDS FREE Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code to provide that while operating a vehicle, other than a law enforcement vehicle, a driver may use only a telephone equipped with an apparatus that allows the driver to talk and listen without holding the telephone or its handset or receiver. FISCAL NOTE (Illinois State Police) There would be no fiscal impact on the State Police. CORRECTIONAL NOTE (Department of Corrections) HB1363 would have no fiscal or prison population impact on DOC.
