House Sponsors: PERSICO-SCOTT-O'CONNOR. Short description: AFFORDBLE HOUSNG ACT-SR HOUSNG Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Illinois Affordable Housing Act. Provides that moneys held in the Illinois Affordable Housing Trust Fund by the Illinois Housing Development Authority may be used for real estate tax relief grants to owners of senior project-based housing who have signed agreements with the Authority to maintain their senior project-based housing status beyond their subsidized program restriction period for a minimum of 5 years. Provides that the grants shall be disbursed by the Authority from Trust Fund Moneys for this purpose in the amount of no less than $1,000,000. Effective July 1, 1999.
