Short description: PEN CD-IMRF-POLICE SALARY Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) Article of the Illinois Pension Code to allow certain persons with at least 20 years of creditable service as a sheriff's law enforcement employee to have their pensions based on their salary rate on their last day of service in that capacity. Amends the State Mandates Act to require implementation without reimbursement. Effective immediately. PENSION NOTE (Pension Laws Commission) Fiscal impact has not been determined, but could be substan- tial for SLEP employers.
