PEN CD-IMRF-SHERIFF DISABILITY                                             

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF)  Article  of      
   the Illinois Pension Code to increase the basic disability benefit for      
   sheriff's  law  enforcement employees from 50% to 65% of final rate of      
   earnings.  Amends the State Mandates  Act  to  require  implementation      
   without reimbursement.  Effective immediately.                              
          PENSION NOTE (Pension Laws Commission)                               
          A cost estimate is not available, but could be significant           
          for SLEP employers.
