Short description: 
HOME INSPECTOR LICENSING ACT                                               

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Creates the Home Inspector Licensing  Act.   Provides  the  short      
   title only.                                                                 
        HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1.                                                 
        Provides that the  Act shall be administered and  enforced by the      
   Office  of  Banks  and  Real  Estate.   Sets license  application  and      
   examination requirements. Requires home inspectors to carry insurance.      
   Creates the  Home Inspector Advisory Council  to advise the  Office of      
   Banks and Real Estate  on matters relating to licensing and  education      
   under  the Act.   Sets  continuing  education  requirements  for  home      
   inspectors.   Prohibits unlicensed  practice as a  home inspector  and      
   imposes penalties therefor.                                                 
          HOUSING AFFORDABILITY NOTE (Housing Development Authority)           
          There would be no fiscal effect on a single-family residence.
