FIRE PROTECT DIST-PENSION                                                  

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Fire Protection District Act.  Authorizes the board of      
   trustees to provide retirement benefits to  firefighters  who  do  not      
   receive  a pension under the Illinois Pension Code.  Provides that the      
   cost of funding retirement benefits may not exceed 2%  of  the  annual      
   budget and appropriations of the district.                                  
          PENSION NOTE (Pension Laws Commission)                               
          No fiscal impact on any retirement system of pension fund cre-       
          ated in the Pension Code.
