PROSECUTOR-NO ELECTIVE OFFICE                                              

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Creates the  Prosecutor  Eligibility  for  Elective  Office  Act.      
   Prohibits  an  appointed  prosecutor  from  seeking  or  serving in an      
   elective office of State and local governments, school districts,  and      
   political  parties for 5 years after the conclusion of the appointment      
   as a prosecutor.                                                            
          FISCAL NOTE (State Board of Elections)                               
          HB243 would have minimal fiscal impact on the State Board of         
          Elections operations.
