KARPIEL. 220 ILCS 5/8-505.1 new Amends the Public Utilities Act. Provides that in conducting non-emergency vegetation management activities in incorporated municipalities an electric public utility shall follow guidelines established by the International Society of Arboriculture and any applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration or American National Standards Institute standards in effect on January 1, 2000. Requires the Commerce Commission to establish statewide standards for tree trimming activities by January 1, 2002.
