OBAMA-DEL VALLE. New Act Creates the Transportation To Work Act. Provides that the Transportation to Work Program is created within the Illinois Department of Human Services. Provides that the Program consists of a low-income transportation subsidy component to cover transportation costs for commuting between home and work and an automobile acquisition component to assist low-income workers to acquire an automobile for transportation necessary to maintain employment. Contains provisions concerning the operation and administration of each component.
