   305 ILCS 5/5-5d new                                                         

        Amends the "Medicaid" Article of the Illinois  Public  Aid  Code.      
   Requires  the  Department  of  Public  Aid,  by  October  1,  1999, to      
   establish a system for making periodic  interim  payments  to  certain      
   health care providers. Effective immediately.
