GEO-KARIS-PETERSON-LINK-PARKER.

(MOORE,ANDREA-GASH-OSMOND-GARRETT-MATHIAS)

   55 ILCS 5/1-1004          from Ch. 34, par. 1-1004                          

        Amends the Counties Code.  Makes stylistic changes in the Section      
   regarding jurisdiction over Lake Michigan.                                  
        SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1.                                                
          Deletes reference to:                                                
          55 ILCS 5/1-1004                                                     
          Adds reference to:                                                   
          55 ILCS 5/5-1125 new                                                 
        Deletes everything. Amends  the  Counties  Code.   Provides  that      
   pursuant to a plan approved by the Illinois Board of Higher Education,      
   any  county  may  make  appropriations  from  the  county treasury and      
   transfer moneys to a non-profit corporation recognized by the  General      
   Assembly.   The  non-profit  corporation may expend the moneys for the      
   purchase of land and the erection or renovation  of  buildings  for  a      
   county university center.
