   40 ILCS 5/17-134          from Ch. 108 1/2, par. 17-134                     
   30 ILCS 805/8.23 new                                                        

        Amends  the  Chicago  Teacher  Article  of  the   Pension   Code.      
   Increases  the  amount  of  unused  sick  time that may be included in      
   calculating the retirement pension, from 244 to 315 days.  Amends  the      
   State  Mandates  Act  to require implementation without reimbursement.      
   Effective immediately.                                                      
          PENSION NOTE (Pension Laws Commission)                               
          Teachers retiring with more than 244 sick days would receive a       
          higher annuity than under current law.
