SCULLY-GASH-FLOWERS-HARRIS AND GARRETT.

   720 ILCS 5/24-5.5 new                                                       
   720 ILCS 5/24-5.6 new                                                       

        Amends the Criminal Code of 1961.  Requires the manufacturer of a      
   firearm intended to be sold at retail in this  State  by  a  federally      
   licensed firearm dealer to engrave, stamp, or emboss the serial number      
   of  the  firearm  on  the  firearm.  Penalty is a Class B misdemeanor.      
   Provides that it is a Class  4  felony  to   possess  a  semiautomatic      
   firearm  that  can  be  converted  into  a  fully  automatic  firearm.      
   Effective immediately.
