TURNER,ART AND DAVIS,MONIQUE. 105 ILCS 5/27-8.1 from Ch. 122, par. 27-8.1 Amends the School Code. Provides that a vision examination provided by or at a public, private, or parochial school or by an entity with which the school has contracted to perform vision examinations shall be performed only after school authorities have notified a child's parents or legal guardian at least twice about the need to have the child's vision examined and the parents or legal guardian have failed to have the child's vision examined within 30 days after the second notice. Requires an entity that contracts with a public, private, or parochial school to perform vision examinations to demonstrate to school authorities that its vision examination program complies with all applicable federal and State laws.
