Requires that food protection inspections authorized by law or paid from State grants must be conducted by environmental health practitioners licensed under the Environmental Health Practitioner Licensing Act. Authorizes the Department of Public Health to regulate and conduct investigations into food protection inspections. FISCAL NOTE (Department of Agriculture) The legislation would require removal of 112 of the Depart- ment's 119 personnel, who do not possess the degree require- ments for licensure under the bill.
