(DEMUZIO-MYERS,J-LIGHTFORD-MOLARO) 325 ILCS 5/3 from Ch. 23, par. 2053 720 ILCS 5/12-21.6 Amends the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act. Includes in the definition of "abused child" a child whose parent or immediate family member, or a person responsible for the child's welfare, or an individual residing in the same home as the child, or a paramour of the child's parent causes a controlled substance to be sold, transferred, distributed, or given to any child under 18 years of age. Amends the Criminal Code of 1961. Provides that endangering the life or health of a child is a Class 3 felony if the violation includes the sale, transfer, or providing of a controlled substance to a child under 18 years of age.
