GRANBERG. 55 ILCS 5/3-15017 new 730 ILCS 5/3-2-2.3 new 730 ILCS 125/17.6 new Amends the Counties Code, the Unified Code of Corrections, and the County Jail Act. Provides that the Department of Corrections shall reimburse counties for medical expenses incurred on behalf of persons confined in county jails that are not recovered by the county from (i) the person on whose behalf the expenses are incurred or that person's insurance carrier or (ii) the Arrestee's Medical Costs Fund.
