   305 ILCS 5/5-5            from Ch. 23, par. 5-5                             

        Amends the Medical Assistance Article of the Illinois Public  Aid      
   Code. Provides that the Department of Public Aid may not require, as a      
   condition  of  payment  for  any  laboratory test authorized under the      
   Medical Assistance Article, that a physician's  handwritten  signature      
   appear on the laboratory test order form. Provides that the Department      
   may  impose  other  appropriate requirements regarding laboratory test      
   order documentation.
