   730 ILCS 5/3-6-2          from Ch. 38, par. 1003-6-2                        
   730 ILCS 5/3-7-2.5 new                                                      

        Amends the Unified Code of Corrections.   Provides  that  when  a      
   narcotic  drug  in  pill  form  is  administered  to a prisoner by the      
   Department of Corrections or by an employee  or  agent  of  or  person      
   under  contract  with  the Department, the pill must be crushed before      
   the administration to the prisoner.  Provides that the Department must      
   establish rules providing for the inspection of the consumption of all      
   drugs, including nonprescription drugs, administered to  prisoners  by      
   the  Department  or  by  agents or employees or persons under contract      
   with the Department.  Provides that every prisoner  must  be  randomly      
   tested  for  the presence of drugs once per year.  Provides that every      
   employee and administrative officer of a Department facility  must  be      
   randomly  tested  for  the  presence of drugs once per year.  Provides      
   that an employee or administrative officer who refuses to take a  drug      
   test  must  be suspended for one month without pay for a first offense      
   and dismissed from the Department for a second offense.   An  officer       
   or  employee  who  tests positive for drugs must be dismissed from the      
   Department.
