HOFFMAN-LOPEZ-BOLAND.

(CLAYBORNE)

   720 ILCS 5/12-9           from Ch. 38, par. 12-9                            

        Amends the Criminal Code of  1961  relating  to  the  offense  of      
   threatening  a  public  official.  Includes a duly appointed assistant      
   State's  Attorney  in  the  definition  of  "public  official".   Also      
   increases the penalty for the offense from a Class 4 felony to a Class      
   3 felony.
