MCGUIRE. 40 ILCS 5/16-165 from Ch. 108 1/2, par. 16-165 Amends the Downstate Teacher Article of the Pension Code. Provides that not more than 3 of the 4 active teachers elected to the Board of Trustees may be active members of the same statewide teacher organization, beginning with the election of trustees in 2001. Also makes technical changes. Effective immediately.
