MYERS,RICHARD. 40 ILCS 5/16-127 from Ch. 108 1/2, par. 16-127 Amends the Downstate Teacher Article of the Pension Code. Allows credit to be established for certain periods during which a current or former teacher ceased employment for the purpose of pursuing advanced studies in a field related to the person's work as a teacher. Effective immediately. PENSION NOTE (Pension Laws Commission) The fiscal impact of HB 2132 cannot be determined as the amount of service credit that would be established is unknown.
