KRAUSE. 745 ILCS 10/2-110.5 new Amends the Local Governmental and Governmental Employees Tort Immunity Act. Provides that a local public entity is not liable for failing to provide any public service on account of any disruptions caused by the year 2000 date change. Provides that no cause of action may be brought against a local public entity on the basis that a computer or other information system that is owned or operated by the local public entity produced, calculated, or generated an incorrect date. Provides that any contract entered into by or on behalf of a local public entity must include a provision that provides immunity to the local public entity for any breach of contract that is caused by an incorrect date being produced, calculated, or generated by a computer or other information system that is owned or operated by the local public entity.
