DAVIS,MONIQUE. 305 ILCS 5/9A-9 from Ch. 23, par. 9A-9 Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code. Provides that Temporary Assistance for Needy Families clients who are not working will not be approved for degree programs unless they can complete the program in one year or less. Provides that clients who are working at least 20 hours per week may be approved for post-secondary education programs, including degree programs to upgrade their skills to the extent resources allow. Establishes the approval criteria for post-secondary education programs and the participation requirements for clients.
