GASH-GRANBERG-WINKEL-LANG-O'BRIEN, TURNER,JOHN, 
   DELGADO, SILVA, MITCHELL,BILL, CURRY,JULIE, O'CONNOR, 
   MYERS,RICHARD, GIGLIO, KOSEL AND FRITCHEY.

(GEO-KARIS-SHAW-O'MALLEY)

   20 ILCS 2630/5            from Ch. 38, par. 206-5                           

        Amends the Criminal Identification Act.  Provides that the victim      
   of  criminal  sexual  assault,  aggravated  criminal  sexual  assault,      
   predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, criminal  sexual  abuse,      
   or  aggravated  criminal  sexual  abuse   may request that the State's      
   Attorney file a petition with  the  trial  judge  to  have  the  court      
   records  of  the  case sealed.  Provides that, upon order of the court      
   for good cause shown, the records may be  made  available  for  public      
   inspection.  Effective January 1, 2000.                                     
          FISCAL NOTE (Administrative Office of Illinois Courts)               
          The bill will have no fiscal impact on the judicial branch.
