ZICKUS. 10 ILCS 5/29-19.5 new Amends the Election Code. Provides that campaign materials published, circulated, or distributed on behalf of a person who is a candidate for office, but does not then hold that office, (1) must state that the person is a "candidate" for that office and (2) may not give false or misleading information regarding a candidate's status as an elected official.
