SCHOENBERG-GASH.

   605 ILCS 10/11            from Ch. 121, par. 100-11                         

        Amends  the  Toll  Highway  Act.   Authorizes  the  Toll  Highway      
   Authority to enter into contracts, leases, or  licensing  arrangements      
   with  a  person or firm for the placing of fiber optic lines on a toll      
   highway right of way.                                                       
        HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1.                                                 
        Provides that the Toll Highway Authority  shall  provide  to  the      
   Department  of Central Management Services details of all proposals to      
   utilize Tollway right of way to  place  telecommunications  cable,  or      
   conduit  to  be  used  for  such cable, if the distance over which the      
   proposed cable or conduit is to be placed is greater than one mile.
