1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate were saddened to learn
3 of the death of Dealie "Neicy" Galloway of East St. Louis on
4 Wednesday, May 17, 2000; and
5 WHEREAS, She was born in Kosciusko, Mississippi, on July
6 26, 1916, the daughter of Emily Cole and Gabe Jamison and the
7 second oldest of four girls; and
8 WHEREAS, She was united in matrimony to the late Curtis
9 Galloway, Sr.; they resided in East St. Louis, and to this
10 union were born two children, Curtis and Linda; and
11 WHEREAS, She was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church; and
12 WHEREAS, A faithful and helpful friend, Dealie Galloway
13 will be deeply missed by her family and friends, especially
14 her son and daughter-in-law, Curtis and Paulette Galloway;
15 her daughter, Linda Galloway; her sister, Effie Huff; her
16 brother-in-law, Robert Alexander; her seven grandchildren;
17 her eleven great-grandchildren; and her one
18 great-great-grandchild; therefore, be it
19 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL
20 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow
21 and regret the death of Dealie Galloway and extend our
22 sincere condolences to her family and friends; and be it
23 further
24 RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
25 presented to the son and daughter of Dealie Galloway.
