 1                          SENATE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members of the Senate were saddened to learn
 3    of the death of Ryan Tucker McGinn  of  Peoria  on  Saturday,
 4    November 27, 1999; and

 5        WHEREAS,  Ryan  McGinn  was  born  in Peoria on April 17,
 6    1978, the son of James J. and Nancy J. Tucker McGinn; and

 7        WHEREAS, He was a 1996 graduate of Dunlap High School; he
 8    was a senior in the College  of  Agricultural,  Consumer  and
 9    Environmental  Sciences  at  the  University  of  Illinois in
10    Champaign-Urbana majoring in  Technical  Systems  Management;
11    and

12        WHEREAS, Ryan McGinn was 21 years old; and

13        WHEREAS, He was a member and former vice-president of the
14    Illini  Agricultural  Mechanization Club at the University of
15    Illinois and a member of Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity; and

16        WHEREAS, He was a member of the Prospect United Methodist
17    Church in Dunlap; and

18        WHEREAS,  Ryan  McGinn  was  working  part-time  for  the
19    Soybean Research Farm at the University of Illinois and  also
20    for a local farmer; and

21        WHEREAS,  Ryan  McGinn  was  described  as a "hardworking
22    individual" as well as an "upbeat, funny person," and

23        WHEREAS, His passing will be deeply felt by  his  family,
24    friends,  and  classmates,  especially his parents, James and
25    Nancy McGinn;  his  brother,  Paul;  his  grandfather,  James
26    McGinn; and his aunts and uncles; therefore, be it

27        RESOLVED,  BY  THE  SENATE  OF  THE  NINETY-FIRST GENERAL
28    ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, That we note  with  sorrow
29    and  regret  the  death  of Ryan Tucker McGinn and extend our

 1    sincere condolences to his family  and  friends;  and  be  it
 2    further

 3        RESOLVED,  That  a  suitable  copy  of this resolution be
 4    presented to his parents.
