1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate were saddened to learn
3 of the recent death of Arthur "Bucky" Tullis, Chief of the La
4 Grange Park Fire Department; and
5 WHEREAS, He was born in Oak Park and graduated from
6 Riverside-Brookfield High School; he landed a job as a
7 telephone lineman and installer at Illinois Bell, now
8 Ameritech, and retired 40 years later in 1994; and
9 WHEREAS, He served as a fireman in Riverside and later in
10 La Grange Park; he died while responding to a fire alarm; and
11 WHEREAS, He was dedicated to the department and the
12 firefighters and emergency personnel; he will be buried with
13 full honors given to firefighters who die in the line of
14 duty; and
15 WHEREAS, His passing will be deeply felt by his family
16 and friends, especially his wife, Judith; his sons, Rob, Jeff
17 and Steve; his sister, Maryjo Cornwell; and two
18 grandchildren; therefore, be it
19 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL
20 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow
21 and regret the death of Arthur "Bucky" Tullis and extend our
22 sincere condolences to his family and friends; and be it
23 further
24 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
25 presented to his widow, Judith Tullis.
