1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3 to learn of the death of Eldon A. Dumroese, who recently
4 passed away; and
5 WHEREAS, Mr. Dumroese was raised in Chicago, and was a
6 longtime resident of Burr Ridge; he was a graduate of the
7 Illinois Institute of Technology with a degree in
8 architecture; and
9 WHEREAS, Mr. Dumroese was hired as deputy building
10 commissioner in the 1960s and served in this capacity until
11 1972; in 1977 he became a member of the Burr Ridge Plan
12 Commission and was appointed the chairman in 1978; and
13 WHEREAS, Mr. Dumroese resigned from the Commission in
14 1983, but continued to voice his opinions before the group;
15 he represented landowners seeking annexation, rezoning, or
16 development before the Commission; and
17 WHEREAS, Eldon Dumroese is survived by his son, Greg
18 Dumroese; his daughter, Allison Bogash; and one
19 granddaughter; therefore, be it
20 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL
21 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we extend our sincere
22 sympathies to the family and friends of Eldon Dumroese of
23 Westmont; may they know peace and comfort at this time; and
24 be it further
25 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
26 presented to the family of Eldon Dumroese.
