1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate were saddened to learn
3 of the death of Burnett Pulliam of Chicago on January 5,
4 1999; and
5 WHEREAS, She was born in Brownsville, Tennessee, on
6 October 11, 1951, the daughter of Martin and Bernice Harper;
7 and
8 WHEREAS, She attended Woodlawn Elementary School in
9 Brownsville, Tennessee, and John Marshall Harlan High School
10 in Chicago; and
11 WHEREAS, Her passing will be deeply felt by her family
12 and friends, especially her mother, Bernice Harper; her
13 brother, Lennie Pulliam; her sisters, Carolyn Pulliam and
14 Barbara Anderson; her nieces, Brittany, Adrienne, and Alaina;
15 and her nephew, Tony; therefore, be it
16 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL
17 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow
18 and regret the death of Burnett Pulliam and extend our
19 sincere condolences to her family and friends; and be it
20 further
21 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
22 presented to her mother, Bernice Harper.
