1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1975
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 1975 on page 1,
3 line 19, after the period, by inserting the following:
4 "The hourly rate for legal fees paid or reimbursed under this
5 Section shall not exceed the maximum hourly rate customarily
6 paid to Special Assistant Attorneys General. The total
7 amount of legal fees paid or reimbursed under this Section
8 shall not exceed $100,000. The payments or reimbursements
9 may be made from moneys appropriated to the Attorney General
10 for fiscal year 2001 for contractual services,
11 notwithstanding any other law to the contrary. The Attorney
12 General must, no later than April 15, 2001, submit to the
13 General Assembly a detailed, written report indicating which
14 fees the Attorney General has or intends to pay or reimburse
15 and the basis for making the payment or reimbursement. This
16 Section is repealed on July 1, 2001."; and
17 on page 1, by deleting lines 20 through 29; and
18 by deleting all of pages 2 through 6; and
19 on page 7, by deleting lines 1 through 15.
