1 AN ACT to amend the Toll Highway Act by adding Section
2 36.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Toll Highway Act is amended by adding
6 Section 36 as follows:
7 (605 ILCS 10/36 new)
8 Sec. 36. Use of tolls for particular segment of toll
9 highway. Revenues generated from tolls collected on an
10 existing segment of a toll highway shall not be used to pay
11 any cost of a new segment that has not been constructed as of
12 the effective date of this Section, unless toll revenues
13 collected on the new segment will pay for 75% of the cost of
14 that new segment within the time period over which the
15 Authority plans to finance the new segment's construction.
