1 AN ACT to amend the Illinois Insurance Code by adding
2 Section 505.3.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Illinois Insurance Code is amended by
6 adding Section 505.3 as follows:
7 (215 ILCS 5/505.3 new)
8 Sec. 505.3. Producer may not act as adjuster. An
9 insurance producer may not engage in adjusting insurance
10 claims that arise under a policy of insurance sold by the
11 producer. For purposes of this Section, "adjusting insurance
12 claims" has the meaning given that term in Section 512.52 of
13 this Code.
