1 AN ACT to amend the Illinois Insurance Code by changing
2 Section 370e.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Illinois Insurance Code is amended by
6 changing Section 370e as follows:
7 (215 ILCS 5/370e) (from Ch. 73, par. 982e)
8 Sec. 370e. Companies which issue group accident and
9 health policies or blanket accident and health plans to
10 employer groups in this State shall provide the employer with
11 notice of termination of the a group or blanket accident and
12 health plan to the employer and covered employees because of
13 the employer's failure to pay the premium when due. The
14 notice of termination shall be mailed to the covered
15 employees no later than 5 days after the company makes the
16 decision to terminate the group or blanket accident and
17 health plan. The insurance company shall send a copy of such
18 notice to the Department.

20 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
21 becoming law.
