1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1273
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 1273 on page 1, by
3 replacing lines 23 through 31 with the following:
4 "(4.1) Making a telephone call or knowingly inducing a
5 person to make a telephone call for the purpose of harassing
6 another person who is under 13 years of age, regardless of
7 whether the person under 13 years of age consents to the
8 harassment, if the defendant is at least 16 years of age at
9 the time of the commission of the offense; or"; and
10 on page 2, by deleting line 1; and
11 on page 2, by replacing lines 30 through 33 with the
12 following:
13 "(3.1) Transmitting an electronic communication or
14 knowingly inducing a person to transmit an electronic
15 communication for the purpose of harassing another person
16 who is under 13 years of age, regardless of whether the
17 person under 13 years of age consents to the harassment,
18 if the defendant is at least 16 years of age at the time
19 of the commission of the offense;"; and
20 on page 3, by deleting lines 1 through 8; and
21 on page 5, by replacing lines 3 and 4 with the following:
22 "(6) The person violates paragraph (4.1) of Section

1 1-1 or paragraph (3.1)".
