8 Sec. 8-230.1. Right of employees to contribute for
9 certain other service. Any employee in the service, after
10 having made contributions covering a period of 10 or more
11 years to the annuity and benefit fund herein provided for,

26 employee. In no event, however, shall such service be
27 credited if the employee has not forfeited and relinquished
28 pension credit for service covering such period under any
29 pension or retirement plan applicable to the Authority or its
30 predecessor public utilities and instituted and maintained by

2 If the application to establish credit under this Section
3 is received by the Fund on or after the effective date of
4 this amendatory Act of the 91st General Assembly and before
5 July 1, 2000, no contribution from the employee is required
6 to establish credit for service rendered by the employee to
7 the Chicago Transit Authority during the period July 1, 1974
8 through August 31, 1978. This amendatory Act does not
9 entitle any person to a refund of contributions already paid
10 for credit previously established under this Section.
