91_SB1003eng SB1003 Engrossed LRB9105631DHmg 1 AN ACT concerning the Governor. 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 3 represented in the General Assembly: 4 Section 5. The Governor Transition Act is amended by 5 changing Section 1 as follows: 6 (15 ILCS 10/1) (from Ch. 127, par. 63b121) 7 Sec. 1. Transition. When at any general election for 8 the office of Governor the incumbent Governor is not elected, 9 the Governor, within 2 weeks after such election, shall 10 provide space for not more than 5 persons designated by the 11 Governor-elect to enable the Governor-elect to begin a review 12 and analysis of budgeted expenditures during the then current 13 biennium and budget requests for the ensuing biennium and to 14 acquire a working knowledge of the various offices, 15 departments, commissions, boards and other agencies of the 16 executive branch of the State government. The Governor shall 17 cooperate with the Governor-elect and the staff so designated 18 by him and provide any assistance that may be reasonably 19 requested. 20 (Source: Laws 1961, p. 3670.)
