1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 666
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 666 on page 3, by
3 replacing lines 15 through 20 with the following:
4 "(a) any computer or peripheral equipment, provided that
5 computers owned by, used by, leased by, and leased to a
6 telecommunications company are not subject to this Act; and
7 (b) any high technology medical equipment."; and
8 on page 3, below line 24, by inserting the following:
9 ""Telecommunications company" means any entity, whether a
10 corporation, limited liability company, or partnership, that
11 is treated as a telecommunications company by the Federal
12 Communications Commission and under this treatment is subject
13 to the jurisdiction of the Federal Communications Commission
14 under the federal Telecommunications Act of 1996, 47 U.S.C.
15 151 et seq.".
