 1        AN ACT regarding appropriations.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.  The sum of $41,328,400, or so much thereof as
 5    may  be  necessary,  is appropriated from the General Revenue
 6    Fund to the Board of Trustees of Eastern Illinois  University
 7    for  any  expenditures  or purposes authorized by law for the
 8    fiscal year ending June 30, 2000.

 9        Section 10.  The sum of $6,300,000, or so much  there  of
10    as  may  be  necessary,  is  appropriated  from the Education
11    Assistance Fund to the Board of Trustees of Eastern  Illinois
12    University for any expenditures or purposes authorized by law
13    for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2000.

14        Section  99.  Effective date.  This Act takes effect July
15    1, 1999.
