1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Tsarina
4 Powell of Chicago, Illinois, who recently passed away; and
5 WHEREAS, Tsarina Powell was born June 10, 1988 in
6 Chicago, Illinois; her parents were Charles Powell and Helen
7 Lucas; and
8 WHEREAS, Tsarina Powell attended Earl Elementary School
9 where she was well liked by her classmates, teachers, and
10 friends; Tsarina was known as "Smiley" because of the smile
11 that was always on her face; and
12 WHEREAS, Tsarina Powell was an Honor Roll Student; she
13 participated in the spelling bee contest, and was in the
14 Entrepreneurship Program; Tsarina planned to become a doctor
15 when she grew up; and
16 WHEREAS, The passing of Tsarina Powell will be deeply
17 felt by all that knew and loved her, especially her sisters,
18 Stephanie and Twanda; her brothers, George, Terrance, and
19 Chevez; her nephews, Tourain and Cordel; her stepfather,
20 George; her aunts, uncles, stepmother, niece, godmother, and
21 many other relatives and friends; therefore, be it
22 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
23 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
24 we mourn, along with her many loved ones, the death of
25 Tsarina Powell of Chicago, Illinois; and be it further
26 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
27 presented to the family of Tsarina Powell.
